  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to commitments made in this Policy.  
  • With Your Consent: In other situations where we have your explicit consent to share your information.

8. International Data Transfers Some of our service providers (like Google Analytics) may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), particularly in the United States. When we transfer data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data, such as relying on adequacy decisions by the European Commission, using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or other legally compliant mechanisms.

9. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR) Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.  
  • Right to Erasure ('Right to be Forgotten'): Request deletion of your personal data under certain conditions (e.g., it's no longer necessary for the purpose collected, you withdraw consent).  
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of how we process your data under certain circumstances.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit it to another controller where processing is based on consent or contract and done by automated means.
  • Right to Object: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests. We must stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests, or for legal claims. You also have the absolute right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent (this doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority - HDPA) if you believe your rights have been violated.

To exercise these rights (except lodging a complaint), please contact us using the details in Section 1. We will respond to your request within one month, subject to legal requirements. Please note that automated tools for data export or deletion are not currently available, but requests will be handled manually.

10. Data Retention We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and according to our legitimate interests and your consent. Our general retention periods are:  

  • Account Data: While your account is active, and for a period of 12 months after account closure for administrative, security, and legal reasons, unless earlier deletion is requested and permissible.
  • User Content: May be retained publicly on the site as per the license in our Terms of Use, even after account closure, unless you specifically request its deletion where feasible and appropriate.
  • Analytics Data (Google Analytics): Retained in a form that may be linked to identifiers for 26 months, after which it may be kept only in aggregated form.
  • Contact/Support Inquiries: For 12 months after the issue is resolved.
  • Newsletter/Marketing Consent: Until you withdraw consent (unsubscribe).
  • Cookie Consent Records: For the duration required by law. We periodically review our data retention needs.

11. Children’s Privacy The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent where required, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us.  

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post any changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as by email notification, if you've provided an address). We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
